The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes Food Distribution Program assists eligible households with receiving USDA foods. Nutrition education demonstrations are also offered three times a month in Clinton and Watonga. Two grocery stores in Clinton & Watonga allow full-time services for our tribal service areas, and the Greenhouse Garden Project to help grow our own vegetables and fruit.
Eligibility requirements are as follows:
• One person in the household must be a member of a federally recognized tribe, possess a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood or an official document stating the individual is a direct descendant of a federally-recognized tribal member.
• The household cannot exceed USDA income guidelines.
• The household must live within the Food Distribution service area and applicants cannot receive SNAP benefits at the same time.
