Resident Services goal is to promote, attain, and produce successful tribal homeowners.
Resident Services assist in maintaining a safe, sanitary, andaffordable home for our tribal members. The programs that are under ResidentServices are the Mutual Help Homeownership program(MHA), the Down PaymentAssistance program(DPA), the Independent Living Center(ILC), the HUD/VASHRental Assistance program, and the ROSS program.
The NAHASDA Mutual Help Homeownership program assist inproviding affordable housing for low-income families. The DownPayment Assistance Program provides the opportunity of homeownership for tribalmembers that can qualify for financial funding from private sector lending ormortgage companies. The Independent Living Center is a 30-unit rental complexfor tribal elders, who can live without assistance. The HUD/VASH program assisthomeless or at risk of homelessness veterans with rental assistance based upontheir qualifications. Resident Services Program processes house payments forthe homebuyer’s that are in the NAHASDA Mutual Help Homeownership program basedon the household’s income and household size. HUD income guidelines must be metfor applicants to qualify for the homeownership programs.
